Please review the traffic procedures below to help keep arrival and dismissal safe, smooth and efficient for all Palatka Intermediate students and families.
The traffic maps and instructions on this page explain where to enter, which lane to use and how to follow the appropriate traffic flow during both morning arrival and afternoon dismissal.
Morning Arrival
Morning Arrival
For morning drop-off, the color lanes are important when entering the traffic flow.
If you enter from Highway 19, enter the traffic flow in the BLUE lane
If you enter from Highway 20, enter the traffic flow in the YELLOW lane
Once you have entered the correct lane, Palatka Intermediate staff will merge the lanes and direct you through the drop-off area.
If you are traveling southbound on Horseman Club Road to enter the yellow lane, please do not block the intersection while waiting. Only move forward when there is at least one full car-length of open space available in the flow lane.
Afternoon Dismissal
Afternoon Dismissal
The color lanes are especially important during afternoon dismissal. Your car tag must match the entrance and lane you use.
Highway 19 entrance = BLUE: You must have a blue car tag, remain in the blue lane and pick up your student in the blue lane
Highway 20 entrance = YELLOW: You must have a yellow car tag, remain in the yellow lane and pick up your student in the yellow lane
Following the correct entrance, tag color and lane is essential to keeping traffic moving safely and efficiently.
