Today we’re proud to recognize Brooke Carpenter, a teacher at James A. Long Elementary, for the incredible impact she is making on students. 💙💚

A proud product of Putnam County and a 2011 honors graduate of Interlachen High School, Brooke has spent more than a decade pouring into the lives of her students — helping them grow not only academically, but also in confidence, character, and a true sense of belonging.

💬 “Brooke Carpenter is more than an educator. She is a mentor, role model, and advocate whose compassion and dedication continue to positively shape the lives of young people across Putnam County.”

Her commitment goes far beyond the classroom. From supporting youth through West Putnam Pop Warner, Girls on the Run, and Girl Scouts, to showing up for her students long after they leave her class. Crescent City Jr.–Sr. High School is hosting a Women in Blue-Collar Careers Night to celebrate and spotlight women who are breaking barriers in hands-on and traditionally male-dominated careers.

March 31st from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Crescent City Jr.–Sr. High School (2201 US-17, Crescent City, FL 32112)

Students and community members are invited to attend to meet inspiring women working in skilled trades and other hands-on careers, explore career pathways, and make connections with professionals in our community.

Women working in blue-collar or male-dominated careers are also encouraged to participate by hosting a table and sharing their career journey with students.
