The PCSD Advanced Manufacturing program recently had two Advisory Board meetings- a group of business/industry partners, community members, parents, and students that work with CTE Programs to keep them informed of industry changes, needs, and much more.
Some of the Advanced Manufacturing's Advisory Board include representatives from St. Johns River State College, QPAC, Kent Brothers Inc, Comarco Products, and Georgia Pacific.
Together with the instructor, Mr. Knutsen, the board set goals for the program that include: a senior capstone project created by QPAC that upper level students in the program will complete, creation of a basic tool skills curriculum and materials with which to practice, and the possibility of internship/work-based learning opportunities in the future.
These photos show Mr. Knutsen giving a tour of his Advanced Manufacturing lab at PJSHS.
