September 15th-October 15th is National Hispanic Heritage Month.
About 10% of the Putnam County School District's student population are Hispanic. We are proud and excited to celebrate our student's rich history and culture. This year's Hispanic Heritage Month's theme is Celebrating Hispanic-American Community Leaders & Champions.
Putnam County School District is excited to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American Champions who have inspired others to achieve success. Throughout this Virtual Hispanic Heritage presentation, students will highlight famous Hispanic American Individuals. These students have chosen individuals that have inspired them. We will also highlight individuals that continue to make a positive impact in our Putnam County Community.
After the presentation, Priscilla and Shree Clayton will focus on some quick reading comprehension strategies that families can do with their children at home. Once the presentation is complete please click on the survey link HEREto provide us feedback. Once you have completed the survey, your child will receive a list of reading comprehension questions and a bag of books that can be added to their at-home library.
Once again Happy National Hispanic Heritage Month!
