Florida is the leader in the global space industry, and we want to cultivate our students today to help create and build the space economy of tomorrow. To that end, we are participating in a statewide initiative – Dream Big Florida – that will help spark our students to visualize the future of life in space to benefit Earth.
Through this Florida STEM program, organized by Northeast Florida Regional STEM2 Hub, the Florida Consortia of Education Foundations, and Club for the Future (Blue Origin’s non-profit), we are asking every student in our district to create a postcard answering the question, “Why do you think Earth needs space?” These postcards will be flown to space and back on upcoming launches of Blue Origin’s New Shepard reusable rocket and will then be mailed back to each student with a ‘Flown to Space’ postmark.
